You encounter foolishness- practice. Sick and tired of it all? Practice anyway. Practice even in your righteousness- see a wrong and see it though your practice. What is practice? Here it’s often practicing good will, becoming calm and concentrated, using the breath and body as a guide, but also feelings, moods, emotions, thoughts- all fair game for this settling down into all there is. Seek the inspiration in ancient wisdom, in the speech of a child, the playfulness of a puppy, a whirling dervish of autumn leaves. Kindle your heart and then discern. Rather than flow out with your judgment, flow out with your practiced heart and hold the world in wisdom.
